Our superb penthouse apartment has a large south facing terrace enjoying all day sunshine, with 360 degree sea and mountain views. We are in an ideal location, just a few minutes walk from the historic centre with its beautiful church and cobbled streets.
There is a spacious bedroom with kingsize bed (can be separated to 2 singles if desired), large lounge, a fully fitted kitchen and bathroom. Flatscreen TV with English channels, DVD, air conditioning and linen are all included.
We are a few steps away from the large shared pool set in a garden of tropical flowers and banana trees.
Historic sites include the church, formerly a mosque, and a 2,000 year old roman fountain that still provides a supply of fresh drinking water. A series of plaques on walls around the village tell of a famous battle in the hills above. Fiestas including the excellent Tres Culturas in August and San Sebastian in June take place throughout the year.
The village has 27 bars and restaurants as well as local grocers, bodegas, craft shops and a new sports centre. It is an ideal base for an activity holiday. There are numerous walks, from a tour of the old town to a hike to 3000m high mountains. Horseriding, tennis, golf and even skiing are just a drive away. The world heritage site of El Alhambra in Granada is an easy and rewarding day trip along one of the most scenic coast roads in the world.
Our apartment is available to rent from 2012 to non-smoking couples. Prices are
- £200 a week during the warm winter months
- £300 per week during the hot summer months and the Christmas/New Year holiday
