....is a collection of paintings by UK based artist Andy Crowe of the people and colours of Frigiliana, the award winning Andalucian village. Andy has spent most of his working life helping to develop affordable housing for homeless people and low income families in the UK. It was not until 1998, when he sold paintings to raise money for the charity Homeless International, that the interest became more serious. His paintings have since been exhibited in London, Birmingham, Harrogate and Hampshire and can also be found in private collections in the UK, United States and New Zealand. Stanley Spencer, Edward Hopper and Fra Angelico are Andy’s main influences.

.... Es una colección de pinturas del artista Andy Crowe, de la gente y los colores de Frigiliana, el galardonado pueblo andaluz. Andy ha pasado la mayor parte de su vida laboral ayudando a desarrollar la vivienda asequible para personas sin hogar y familias de bajos ingresos en el Reino Unido. Andy and his partner Jane discovered Frigiliana in 2003. ‘It is a place with an extraordinary sense of history, a stunning location and friendly local people who must have seen huge changes over the past 50 years. But it is not a museum: it is a living, thriving, cosmopolitan, but essentially Spanish place.

It is truly inspirational in that it has driven me to create more paintings in the last four years than in the previous twenty. I hope the people of Frigiliana feel that I have captured their character as well as that of the village. '

Frigiliarte now comprises a series of 25 works, split between semi-abstract and figurative oil paintings, with the emphasis on townscapes. A first ever exhibition of his work, entitled 'Out of the Blue' was held in December 2009 at the Casa Cultural in Frigiliana itself.

Es realmente inspirador, ya que me ha llevado a crear más cuadros en los últimos cuatro años que en los últimos veinte años. Espero que el pueblo de Frigiliana siento que han plasmado su carácter, así como la de la aldea. '

Frigiliarte incluye ahora una serie de 25 obras, repartidas entre óleos semi-abstractas y figurativas, con el énfasis en paisajes urbanos. Una primera exposición de su obra, titulado "Out of the Blue 'se celebró en diciembre de 2009 en la Casa Cultural en Frigiliana sí mismo.
